Water Games & Ideas

• BUCKET RELAY
• Version #1: Line up chairs one behind the other in single file. Make one row for each team (can be anywhere from 3-10 chairs long in each line). Place a bucket of water on the ground in front of the first chair of each row. Place an empty bucket behind the last chair. When the game begins, teams race to fill the bucket at the back by using the water at the front. Rules: Players must pass the water in their cups, overhead, without turning around or reaching sideways. They must pour it over theirs heads into the cup of the player behind them. Last player must pour the water overhead into the bucket
• Version #2: Players line up behind one another with a foot or two of space between them (each line is its own team). Place an empty bucket at the back and a bucket full of water at the front. Using a large sponge (like the huge car washing kinds) players must pass it from the front of the line to the back, passing carefully to keep as much water in the sponge as possible. Last player squeezes the water left in the sponge into the bucket at the back and runs the sponge to the front. Rules: Players must pass the sponge overhead, then under legs, alternating every player (over, under, over, under, etc. to back of line). Players must remain facing straight forward and can't turn or reach around. First bucket to be filled wins!

•    Version #1: with hands
•    Version #2: with milk jugs cut in half

• Kiddie Pool Baseball

• Blind Cup Fill - pairs, one sitting with mirror and cup on head, other standing behind blindfolded with pitcher of water

• Water Hose Limbo

•  Feet Freeze: Fill a kiddie pool with water and ice cubes. Each person has just five minutes to remove as many cubes as they can with their feet. The person with the highest number wins.

•  Slip 'n Slide

•  Whack 'n Splash
• Water balloons, baseball bat

• Splash freeze Tag
• Small water guns for players, Large squirt gun or spray bottle for tagger, players can be unfrozen by being squirted by fellow player 

•  Trash Can Lid Target
• One player from each team up against each other. One player throws water balloon, other player uses trash can lid to deflect. Point for throwing team for hitting body, point for defending team for deflecting. Must stay inside designated square/area. Rotate throwers and deflectors.

• Shaving Cream Shoot-off
• Teams choose player to have backs covered with shaving cream. Each remaining team member gets one squirt gun shot to try to remove shaving cream. Rotate team members shooting. First team to remove all shaving cream wins.
